Supporting the Local Community
Holywell High School - Advanced Manufacturing Centre
Andrew considered for some time, the potential of bringing his experience and expertise in 3D printing technology into the local community. Being a former pupil of Holywell High School himself and now with his own children attending, he felt that bringing this kind of technology to the school would make a real difference, not only to the childrens education at present, but to the future of engineering and manufacturing in the UK as a whole.
In 2012, Andrew procured and donated 3D design and 3D printing technology to the school and the new Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) was opened. Seeing the children using this technology, building parts virtually from scratch has given Andrew great joy and proven the whole concept a worthwhile investment.
